TEACHERS DAY, the blessing day.

                       TEACHERS Day

The ability to "Transfer" knowledge to a class of students is left in the capable hands of a teacher. The teacher is a guide and mentor to the child irrespective of caste, creed or colour.

A special day, September 5 is dedicated to teachers, in honour of our late President, Dr S Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and reputed for his teaching skills.

Dr Radhakrishnan earned the respect of his students because of his kind and gentle ways. He was a man of great character. His dress code was impeccable which undoubtedly sent a message not only to children but also to all who came in contact with him. He did not hesitate to discipline a child when misbehaviour was brought to his attention.

Teachers Day is celebrated throughout the country. It is the occasion children use to show their appreciation for their teachers. Children take pride in producing their own cards, verses, and tokens of love to felicitate their teachers. Children who have spent hours in preparation, now take the opportunity to expose their hidden talents. They enact short skirts, recite poems, sing songs and even play musical instruments, all to the delight of the teachers. On a day such as this, all is forgiven and forgotten. There is only fun, laughter, joy and happiness.
